Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Pentti Komssi. I am employed by the regional association of entrepreneurs (Pääkaupunkiseudun Yrittäjät) and work at A Grid in Otaniemi, Espoo. I offer counselling on public procurement in the Helsinki metropolitan area and give entrepreneurs and companies advice in matters related to public procurement. My recipe for success to an entrepreneur or someone planning to become an entrepreneur:
Be brave and set your goals high. Arrange sales meetings only with people who actually make decisions. Remember to also participate in procurements that may at first sight seem a little too big. I can tell you how it is done.
Things that inspire me (in addition to promoting entrepreneurship):
In addition to my work, I am interested in keeping myself fit and in motorcycles. Both these hobbies are close to my heart. Taking a ride on small country roads is the best way to relax after a tough day at work. When you ride a motorcycle, you can smell the nature and see the scenery in a special way.
